About

Hey there! I'm Jessica Guzik, the founder of U-Heft Helper and an expat mom in Berlin.
Like every new parent in Germany, I was handed a yellow Untersuchungsheft, or checkup handbook, hours after my daughter was born. It listed essential checkups that I would need to schedule for my baby, each within its own limited timeframe.
I felt frustrated. I was already overwhelmed as a new parent. Now I had to keep track of multiple timeframes in order to schedule these essential checkups. And if I wanted to understand what was going on at each checkup, I had to use an app to translate each page of the Untersuchungsheft.
This could be a lot simpler, I thought.
That's when U-Heft Helper was born. I created this app to help parents in Germany better understand, track, and schedule their children's mandatory health checkups. With just a few clicks, parents can add their children's checkup schedule to their calendars. One more click, and parents can learn more about each checkup in English.
Thanks for downloading and reviewing it in the App Store. It helps other parents find this app too!
